Florida time zones
Most of Florida, including the peninsula, is Eastern Time. The Panhandle counties of Bay, Calhoun, Escambia, Holmes, Jackson, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, Walton, and Washington are Central Time under 49 CFR 71.5(f).
Gulf County is the exception that is not wholly in either zone. The line follows the Apalachicola River from the Jim Woodruff Dam, then the Jackson River and the Intracoastal Waterway, and only then the county's west line. In the boundary sample, about two thirds of Gulf County's interior points are Central and the rest are Eastern. Tallahassee, east of the river, is Eastern.
